Ha! My poetry is bad poetry and somewhat dark in nature. I only seem to write poetry when I am depressed. It is a good way for me to express those thoughts which I do not really like saying aloud.

I think it was well-written song lyrics that sparked my interest trying to write poetry. Try writing poetry, it is difficult to write poetry. Don’t try rhyming… try writing poetry for the cadence and syntax. You might surprise yourself!
