My day in the kitchen begins and ends with this little saucepan. Donated to our culinary cause by good friends, it serves us all day long. The first thing I do after getting out of bed is turn on the burner to boil water for coffee.
I spend an average of 2 hours in the kitchen each day chopping vegetables, cooking beans, baking bread, making sauces, beverages, seitan, soups, stews, salads and casseroles. Many of these chores involve our hard-working little pot. I close the kitchen at the end of the day by filling the pot with water and setting it on the burner.
