After dinner, I thought about my good fortune at being born in the right place at the right time.
It seems to her that humans have only one spring, one summer, one fall, and if they’re lucky — or not, depending on your perspective — one winter.
Thanks to all of you I find myself standing here, clutching my prize and beaming over my good fortune.
